Introduction to Scheduling

The schedule is a live beast, it moves and never stays the same. Everything is affected by it. When patients cancel, schedule new appointments, lunch times and online scheduling are a few things that can happen. While every schedule is not perfect, we want to make sure that we schedule the clinical team for success. If we schedule too much on the Doctor’s side, the dental assistant’s could not have time to do their side work, ex lab work. If we schedule too much on the hygiene side, they could fall behind and be late to leave at the end of the day. We want to make sure we are creating a day that is full but evenly distributed across multiple schedules.
